Day 01: Cairo
Cairo (no meals) Arrive to Cairo International Airport meet and assist through the immigration formalities. Transfer to your hotel at Cairo, check-in hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.
Day 02: Cairo / Aswan
Cairo - Aswan (B) in the morning check out from the hotel, then you will be picked up for exploration of the vast necropolis of Sakkara containing tombs from almost every period of Egyptian history. The Step Pyramid of Zoser is the most conspicuous landmark of the necropolis, lunch at the Pyramids foot. In the afternoon, we will visit the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Then, you will enjoy the legendary treasures of the Egyptian Museum, which houses about 250.000 antique pieces including the statues, sarcophagi & the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamun. Later that evening you will be transferred to Giza train station to catch the first class sitting train to Aswan. Overnight on board.
Day 03: Aswan
You will arrive to Aswan in the morning and be transferred to your Nile cruise where you will embark before lunch. Visit the high Dam passing by the old Aswan Dam & Philae Temples and Felucca rides around the Botanical gardens. Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 04: Kom-Ombo & Edfu
Early morning sail to Kom- Ombo. In Kom Ombo, visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, the magnificent Ptolemaic temple is in awe-inspiring setting on high ground by the Nile surrounded by sugarcane fields, dedicated jointly to Haroeris, the medicine god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Lunch on board. Relax and admire the beautiful scenery along the Nile while sailing to Edfu. In Edfu, you will visit the temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. Then back on board and sail to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 05: Luxor
Breakfast and free morning, lunch on board. In the afternoon depart for visits of the East Bank of Luxor, including the Luxor & Karnak temples. Then relax in the Nile Cruise or you can walk through history, ride on a horse-drawn carriage, sail in a felucca, or explore the city of mysteries. Dinner & Overnight on board.
Day 06: Luxor / Cairo
Breakfast & check out. Then depart for visits of the West Bank of Luxor, including the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Kings. Then you will be escorted to the Luxor railway station to board the 1st class sitting train to Cairo. Overnight on board.
Day 07: Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo
Morning arrival at the Giza train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative and transfer to Alexandria by private mini van, upon arrival in Alexandria visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock, then visit the modern Library of Alexandria Then proceed to Qaitbay Citadel (out view visit) which was built on the site of the ancient Pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria. Then we visit the Montazah Gardens. Then take our way back to Cairo, upon arrival check in at our hotel and overnight.
Day 08: Cairo
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International airport for the final departure. |
