Day 01: Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted & assisted by one of Egypt Unexpected tours representatives with formalities through customs & transfer by private mini van to the selected hotel in Cairo. Check-in & Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Cairo/ Aswan
After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist guide at the hotel to start a full day tour in Cairo. You will discover the pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx. Your tour will end with a visit to the royal burial ground during the old kingdom "Sakkara" you will visit the first proper pyramid built for king Zoser in the 27th century B.C by the architect Imhotep. After a full day in Cairo, you will be escorted to the Giza railway station to board the 1st class sitting train to Aswan. Overnight on board.
Day 03: Aswan
Morning arrival at the Aswan train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative for transfer to your selected hotel for check in. In the afternoon, you will visit the High Dam and the beautiful temple of Philae. Rest of the day free exploring the pleasant atmosphere of Aswan Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Aswan
(Optional early morning tour to Abu Simbel is available).
After breakfast tour the Nile by felucca including visits both Kitchener & Elephantine islands. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Aswan / Edfu / Kom-Ombo / Luxor
Early morning breakfast & check out to travel further to Kom- Ombo. In Kom Ombo, visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, the magnificent Ptolemaic temple is in awe-inspiring setting on high ground by the Nile surrounded by sugarcane fields, dedicated jointly to Haroeris, the medicine god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Then drive to Edfu. In Edfu, you will visit the temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. In the afternoon depart for visits of the East Bank of Luxor, including the Luxor and Karnak temples .Overnight at the selected hotel in Luxor.
Day 06: Luxor / Cairo
Breakfast, check out and depart for visits of the West Bank of Luxor, including the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Kings. Then you will be escorted to the Luxor railway station to board the 1st class train to Cairo. Overnight on board.
Day 07: Cairo
Breakfast, then you will meet your guide to start a full day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses about 250.000 antique pieces including the statues, sarcophagi & the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamun, and then drive to visit the Citadel of Saladin with the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali. Then to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar (Since the 14th century). Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Cairo
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo international airport for the final departure (End of Services). |
