Day 01: Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted & assisted by one of Egypt Unexpected tours representatives with formalities through customs & transfer by private mini van to the selected hotel in Cairo. Check-in & Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Cairo/ Aswan
After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist guide at the hotel to depart for a full day tour of Cairo. You will discover the pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx. Your tour will end with a visit to the royal burial ground during the old kingdom "Sakkara" you will visit the first proper pyramid built for king Zoser in the 27th century B.C by the architect Imhotep. After a full day in Cairo, you will be escorted to the Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and Overnight on board.
Day 03: Aswan
Morning arrival at the Aswan train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative for transfer to your selected hotel for check in. In the afternoon, you will visit the High Dam and the beautiful temple of Philae. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Aswan
(Optional early morning tour to Abu Simbel by air or road is available).
Breakfast and check out from your hotel, then you will be transferred to your Nile Cruise before lunch which will be your home for the next three nights. Lunch on board. In the afternoon tour the Nile by felucca including visits both Kitchener & Elephantine islands. Dinner & Overnight on board.
Day 05: Kom-Ombo & Edfu
Early morning sail to Kom- Ombo. In Kom Ombo, visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, the magnificent Ptolemaic temple is in awe-inspiring setting on high ground by the Nile surrounded by sugarcane fields, dedicated jointly to Haroeris, the medicine god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Lunch on board. Relax and admire the beautiful scenery along the Nile while sailing to Edfu. In Edfu, you will visit the temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. Then back on board and sail to Luxor. Dinner and Overnight on board.
Day 06: Luxor
Breakfast and free morning, lunch on board. In the afternoon depart for visits of the East Bank of Luxor, including the Luxor & Karnak temples. Then relax in the Nile Cruise or you can walk through history, ride on a horse-drawn carriage, sail in a felucca, or explore the city of mysteries. Dinner & Overnight on board.
Day 07: Luxor / Hurghada
Breakfast & check out. Then depart for visits of the West Bank of Luxor, including the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Kings. Then you will be transferred by private mini van to your hotel in Hurghada. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Hurghada
Breakfast. Rest of the day free at leisure or you can join one of our optional tours in Hurghada. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Hurghada / Sharm El Sheikh
Breakfast & check out from the hotel, then you will be transferred to the port to take the ferry boat to Sharm El Sheikh. Upon arrival you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative & you will be transferred to your hotel for check in, rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Sharm El Sheikh
Breakfast. Rest of the day free at leisure or you can join one of our optional tours in Sharm El Sheikh. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Sharm El Sheikh / Dahab
Breakfast & check out from the hotel then you will be transferred to the selected hotel in Dahab about 81 Km from Sharm El Sheikh, upon arrival check in & rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Dahab
After breakfast, by jeep passing through the rugged mountain terrain to the Canyon. Upon arrival the local guide will lead you through some of the many walkways where you can admire the superb array of colours and shapes. Then we drive to the most beautiful oasis in Sinai, Ain Khudra & exploring its many varieties of palm trees, shrubs, springs & enjoying the Bedouin lunch. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Dahab/ Saint Catherine
Breakfast. Morning free at leisure. In the afternoon, you will be transferred by private mini van to Saint Catherine, check in upon arrival at your hotel. Dinner in the hotel. At night you can climb the mountain to enjoy the sunrise from one of the highest summits of Sinai.
Day 14: Saint Catherine / Cairo
(Breakfast at the hotel) Upon your decent you will visit St. Catherines Monastery, its construction dates back to the 14th century A.D. It lies on the foothills of Moses' mountains, and then you will be transferred to Cairo passing by Firan Valley. Check in upon arrival in Cairo at your hotel & Overnight.
Day 15: Cairo
Breakfast, then you will meet your guide to start a full day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses about 250.000 antique pieces including the statues, sarcophagi & the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamun, and then drive to visit the Citadel of Saladin with the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali. Then to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar (Since the 14th century). Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Cairo
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo international airport for the final departure (End of Services). |
