Day 1: Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted & assisted by one of Egypt Unexpected tours representatives with formalities through customs & transfer by private mini van to the selected hotel in Cairo. Check-in & Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist guide at the hotel to start a full day tour in Cairo. You will discover the pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx. Your tour will end with a visit to the royal burial ground during the old kingdom "Sakkara" you will visit the first proper pyramid built for king Zoser in the 27th century B.C by the architect Imhotep .Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Cairo

Breakfast, then you will meet your guide to start a full day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses about 250.000 antique pieces including the statues, sarcophagi & the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamun, and then drive to visit the Citadel of Saladin with the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali. Then to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar (Since the 14^th century). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Cairo / El Minia

Breakfast, check out from the hotel & we start our day by visiting the Pyramid of Dahshour. This pyramid, also known as the Red Pyramid (This pyramid is the first transition between a step and a complete pyramid ), was built by King Senefru, father of King Cheops, approximately 4,600 years ago. Many scholars consider it to be more glorious than the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and then continue driving to visit to the Pyramid at Meidum. As we get our first look at it from a distance, this pyramid is strangely beautiful, even though it is not in good condition. Inside, we can touch some of the wooden timbers used in its construction more than 4,000 years ago! This is also the area where the famous statues (on display in the Cairo museum) of Ra hotep and his wife were found, as well as the famous "Geese of Meidum". Then take our direct to El Minia by private mini van, upon arrival check in & overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: El Minia / Sohag

Breakfast & check out from the hotel, then a tour to Beni Hassan , on the eastern bank of the Nile, we visit the tombs of Beni Hassan, a Middle Kingdom (2040 - 1640 BC) site, then travelling further to visit the site of Tel El Amarna, A city built by Akhenaton and Nefertiti during the New Kingdom. Then direct to our hotel in Sohag for overnight.

Day 6: Sohag / Luxor

from our hotel, then we drive to Denderah to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. Hathor Temple, with its sacred lake and famous astrological roof, is a delicately beautiful structure. Hathor is the patroness of the Hathor Temple. Then continue to Abydos, the main site of Osiris worship "god of eternity ". The temple of Seti I with its painted reliefs is the best preserved among the ruins of Abydos, while the Temple of Ramses II walls record the famous battle of Qadesh. Then driving further to your hotel in Luxor. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Luxor

Breakfast & depart for visits of the West Bank of Luxor, including the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Kings. In the afternoon depart for visits of the East Bank of Luxor, including the Luxor & Karnak temples. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Luxor / Aswan via Edfu & Kom-Ombo

Early morning breakfast then drive to Edfu, to visit the temple of Horus, the falcon headed god., the further to Kom Ombo, to visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, the magnificent Ptolemaic temple is in awe-inspiring setting on high ground by the Nile surrounded by sugarcane fields, dedicated jointly to Haroeris, the medicine god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Overnight at your hotel in Aswan.

Day 9: Aswan

(Optional early morning tour to Abu Simbel by air or road is available).
Breakfast, then tour the Nile by felucca including visits both Kitchener & Elephantine islands. Rest of the day free, exploring the pleasant atmosphere of Aswan. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Aswan / Cairo

Breakfast & check out to start your tour to visit the High Dam and the beautiful temple of Philae. Then you will be escorted to the Aswan railway station to board the 1st class train to Cairo. Overnight on board.

Day 11: Cairo

Morning arrival at the Giza train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative for transfer to your hotel in Cairo. Check in and rest of the day free at leisure or join one of or optional tours. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Cairo

After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo international airport for the final departure (End of Services).
